Deal Radio works closely with local groups in the Deal and surrounding areas. Here are links to the groups we have worked with over the years.
Deal and Walmer Chamber of Trade
The Chamber of Trade was first established in 1905 and currently has a membership of nearly 120, mainly small businesses. Its original purpose was to “To promote and protect the trade, commerce, manufactures and professional interests of the Borough of Deal and surrounding districts”. This remains a valid Mission Statement for today and our activities are geared towards that end.
Deal Maritime and Local History Museum
Our displays portray the changing history of Deal, Walmer and the surrounding area and we are packed to the rafters with fascinating glimpses into the past.
Adults pay £4; under 18s, carers and students go free.
The Deal Community Carnival Association
The history of the Association can be traced back to 1826. After the closure of the Naval Dockyard in Deal the towns people started to become restless. A great number of dock workers and sailors with very low spirits living locally became a worry to the local Council, they saw a need to raise interest and attract people into the area and came up with the Deal and Downs Regatta.
Deal and Walmer Community Association
The Landmark Centre in Deal includes halls and rooms of varying for hire for any of your community events or functions, a cafe, and a bar in association with Spires Bar Ltd.
Love Local Deal is a community project backed by the Deal and Walmer Chamber of Trade.
The project aims to encourage people to shop locally and use local services, to keep the economy thriving and become a greener town.
The Lighthouse Music and Arts Pub
The Lighthouse is an independent music and arts pub and free house in Deal, Kent. Run by a family team of musicians, artists, designers, sound engineers and expert bar people, The Lighthouse has a fully-equipped stage and sound-system.
The Leas Cliff Hall
Leas Cliff Hall is Kent’s premier entertainment venue. It has played host to some of the best music acts such as Ozzy Osbourne, Kings of Leon, Stereophonics, Mcfly, Status Quo, to name a few. It was built in 1927 and has been refurbished several times in its long and colourful history.

The Meet Up
The Meet Up is Deal Radios community radio show hosted every Saturday from 11am to 1pm presented by a rotating cast of presenters. The show is to celebrate and advertise events, charities and purposes in these trying times.
