Deal Radio Supports Mental Health Awareness Week 13th – 19th May
This year it’s all about body image, how we think and feel about our bodies.
“Last year we found that 30% of all adults have felt so stressed by body image and appearance that they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope. That’s almost 1 in every 3 people.
Body image issues can affect all of us at any age and directly impact our mental health.” – Mental health Awareness Week UK
Deal Radio explores this, plus other aspects of mental health during this week’s special programming.
We will be airing a series of in depth and personal interviews regarding mental health and how it can affect those suffering and the people around them.
As part of the special programming Deal radio had the pleasure of interviewing Nicholas Brendon – Xander from Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Nicky has given a frank and honest interview regarding his mental health issues and recent Autism diagnosis which has led to his ‘Happiness Runs Amok’ (because he gives amok) tour, sharing his experiences and ongoing challenges. You can find out more here! www.nickybrendon.com.
